CUT LETTER FROM CARDSTOCK- To make things super easy you can cut out a cardstock letter using your Cricut or another cutting machine. If you don't have one of these you can free-hand a letter OR print one off from your computer then cut it out with scissors.
PAINT THE CANVAS BACKGROUND- Next, have your child choose a color and then paint the background. Then let the canvas dry completely.
TRACE LETTERON THE CANVAS- Once the painted canvas is dry, use a pencil and trace the letter onto the canvas. We left a little room so we could freehand paint her name under her personalized letter.
PAINT THE OUTLINED LETTER- This step isn't a must BUT it does make the letter pop more. A contrasting color looks great but also white or black looks good too. It whatever your child's personal preference is.
ADD EMBELLISHMENTS - Using tacky glue, glue the embellishments onto the letter part of the canvas. This is so fun! We used assorted sizes and colors of rhinestones and buttons.
SPRINKLE WITH GLITTER- Does your kiddo love glitter? While the glue on their letter canvas is still wet have them sprinkle glitter over the embellished letter.
DRY- After your child's work of art is dry you can hang it on the wall to admire.
