Here’s what I used to make my handmade pumpkins:

How to make a cute DIY Halloween pumpkin craft

1. GLUE YARN ONTO SIGN

I probably used entirely too much glue for this but I didn’t want them shifting so I glued down the entire piece of yarn to the sign.

Start gluing from the bottom edge of the Dollar Tree sign then work your way up to the top.

2. WRAP WITH DIFFERENT COLORED YARN & BAKERS TWINE

Once the sign was covered in the leftover mop yarn I wrapped the sign sparingly in orange bakers twine and black yarn.

3. ADD A PUMPKIN STEM

I have lots of random things in my craft room, one being a cork from a whisky bottle. I thought ‘hey why not use it on this pumpkin’. So I did! It’s not my favorite but it still turned out cute and is totally unique.

Place a good amount of hot glue on the bottom end of your stem then place it on the top center of your pumpkin.

Other items you could use for pumpkin stems:

  • wine cork
  • cinnamon sticks
  • sticks
  • marker cap
  • dowel rod
  • rope

4. MAKE A BOW

I made a really simple bow for this DIY pumpkin. It’s very basic and the easiest bow you will ever make. You will need several different prints and widths of ribbon.

  • cut pieces to desired length
  • lay your largest piece down first
  • then lay the rest of the pieces down making an X over the largest piece
  • pinch the middle down
  • pinch the sides up
  • secure with twine
  • trim is needed

Then I glued the ribbon to the front of the pumpkin.

I finished it off with a cute little skeleton accent.

I know, it’s not my typical style BUT I think it turned out SO CUTE! And it gave me a good excuse as to why I was hanging onto those yarn mop pieces lol!
